Merger partner introductions
The right conversation starts with the right partner.
Tell us what you want from a partnership. We match you with compatible credit unions from NCUA Call Report data, explain why each could fit, and SPM can make the first introduction for you.
- Objective. Matches come from public NCUA data, not opinions.
- No pressure. Credit unions in your results are not notified.
- Discreet. Introductions come from SPM and do not name your credit union.

Merger Due Diligence Essentials
Free checklists for both sides: what the surviving credit union must review before it signs, and what the merging partner must confirm for its members, staff and community. Your details carry over.
How matches are scored
Each credit union that fits your size and region choices gets a fit score from 0 to 100, built from eight factors and weighted by the outcome you chose.
- Size fit (20). The partner's assets relative to yours, for the role you want.
- Balance sheet (15). Whether combined loans to shares lands in a healthy range, so one side's liquidity funds the other's loan demand.
- Capital (15). The combined net worth ratio.
- Profit or loss (15). Return on assets over the last four quarters.
- Member focus (10). Field of membership type, such as community, education, government or health care.
- Growth (10). One year change in assets, members and revenue.
- Economies of scale (10). Differences in operating expense and efficiency.
- Markets (5). Branches in the same region or state as yours.

Field of membership comes from NCUA type of membership codes; for state charters without a code it is inferred from the credit union's name and footprint.
